Hello fellow investors,
This is my first post in the Boglehead forum.
After reading Jack Bogle's Little Book of Common Sense Investing and a few value investing books from Greenblatt, Lynch, Graham, Hagstrom, Fisher, Pabrai and Phelphs, I have come to realize that I choose to be a "defensive" investor during my accumulation phase and make index funds the core of my investment portfolio.
I come from Greece, where investing is not very popular. I was lucky enough that while not investing so far, I have been a good saver so that now that I have come across the world of investing I have the funds to make a start. The reason for this post is to seek for advice and guidance from other non-US investors that invest in index funds that seek to track the S&P500. Ideally I would have chosen VOO, but dividends are taxed. The choice that I have come across is VUAA (UCITS accumulating) in which dividends are not taxed, but I have my doubts regarding its longevity due to its recent inception (2019) and non US location (Ireland).
I understand that investing in the stock market incorporates risks, but ideally by investing in a S&P500 index fund I would like to limit my risk exposure to just market risk.
Thank you for your advise and guidance.
